About Us
i2 is the leading provider of intelligence and investigation management software for law enforcement, defense, national security and private sector organizations.
For almost 20 years more than 4,500 organizations in over 150 countries have relied on i2’s proven technology to investigate, predict, prevent and defeat crime and terrorism by uncovering hidden connections faster, enabling collaboration and delivering critical information to the point of need.
A New Landscape
Security is everyone's business and everyone's responsibility. To say the world has changed is not only a cliché, it's an understatement. Crimes that were once planned and predictable, propelled by rational motivations and yielding proportionate outcomes, are as outdated as audio cassettes. Today's threats are characterized by the complex, asymmetric, chaotic dimensions of sophisticated attacks and global terrorism whose potential consequences are catastrophic.
The information engulfing this thorny new landscape is a challenge unto itself. The dataset we confront is expanding exponentially and bursting with new sources, from Facebook and Craigslist to biometrics and CCTV cameras. A flash drive smaller than a thumb can contain more data than even the highest-capacity hard drive did a mere six years ago.
The approaches to navigating this radically altered landscape have also evolved. Traditional law enforcement and criminal justice operations have adopted threat detection, prevention, and disruption as key weapons. Reactive, post-incident analysis and investigation is now supplemented by proactive, forward-looking operations driven by real-time intelligence. Silos of information enclosed by independent jurisdictions have matured to share relevant information across agencies and borders.
The New Solution
i2 does not seek to replace human intelligence. It simply seeks to enhance, enrich and empower human intelligence by improving the technology that can drive it. Our two product lines – COPLINK and Analysis were developed by practitioners for practitioners. Over the past two decades, i2 products have become part of the fabric of crime-fighting and counter terrorism and an indispensable weapon for every-one from local police officers to special forces personnel to office-based analysts and investigators. Amid a community notoriously – and justifiably – skeptical of new tools in favor of relying on experience and instinct, i2's
Intelligence-Led Operations Platform has earned the trust to become a core component of operational activity and proficiency.
This massively scalable model, with its flexible deployment options, online and offline capabilities, and ability to handle an ever-increasing amount of data, is unparalleled by any other solution.
