New i2 CEO Announces Major Focus on Innovation at IACP 2009
Company to Drive Innovation Leadership in Helping Law Enforcement Customers Tackle Crime and Terrorist Activity

With its recent merger with Knowledge Computing Corporation (KCC), makers of the award-winning COPLINK® analysis software, new i2 CEO, Robert Griffin, previously CEO of KCC, announced an increased focus on innovation for the newly-combined company.

Leveraging existing investment
The first fruits of the merger in providing law enforcement with enhanced intelligence-led operational support includes the announcement of the new COPLINK Analysis Search module.
"In what is a major step forward in the battle against crime," confirms Griffin, "by bringing together COPLINK and i2's Analyst's Notebook we can now offer a unique end-to-end solution which will leverage existing investment by combining tactical lead generation and strategic intelligent analysis for major investigations."
Ideal timing
The 350-strong company's primary operations will remain in Cambridge in the UK and in McLean, Virginia and Tucson, Arizona in the US, with i2 supporting more than 4,500 public and private sector organizations in 149 countries.
